iPhone Repair Part Options
Different customers have different priorities. Some want the lowest sensible repair cost, while others prefer a genuine Apple part where one is available. We explain the part category before you approve the repair so you can choose based on your iPhone model, budget and expectations.
Genuine Apple parts
Where a genuine Apple part and the appropriate repair process are available for the specific model, we can quote it clearly as a genuine option. Availability and calibration requirements vary by model and repair. We never describe an aftermarket component as genuine Apple.
Used genuine Apple parts
For some repairs a previously used genuine Apple component may be an option. If offered, it is disclosed as used rather than new. Condition, history and availability vary, so this option is quoted case by case.
Aftermarket options
Aftermarket parts can offer a more affordable repair. Quality varies substantially, so we separate options by the actual specification and warranty we can stand behind rather than using vague terms such as “original quality”. For displays, differences can include panel technology, brightness, colour, touch response, power use and durability.
Which option should I choose?
There is no single correct choice for every customer. Tell us whether your priority is the lowest practical cost, a balance of cost and display quality, or a genuine Apple part where available. We will explain the options available for your exact device before chargeable work begins.
