Repair Terms & Conditions

Last reviewed: 5 September 2026.

These terms explain the general basis on which repairs are assessed and carried out. Your booking confirmation, quotation or receipt may identify the specific legal entity supplying your repair and any service-specific terms. Nothing here removes your statutory rights.

1. Diagnosis and quotation

Initial prices may be based on the model and symptoms you provide. After inspection, we may identify a different or additional fault. We will not carry out materially different chargeable work without obtaining approval.

2. Consumer rights

Where you are a consumer, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and your other statutory rights continue to apply. These terms do not seek to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3. Data and backups

You remain responsible for maintaining a current backup where reasonably possible. Repair work can involve testing, software restoration, component replacement or circumstances in which data may already be inaccessible because of the fault. We will take reasonable care of your device, but we do not promise that existing data can always be preserved or recovered.

4. Device access

If functional testing requires device access, agree a safe method with the technician. Do not provide Apple ID passwords, banking credentials or one-time security codes. Remove payment cards from digital wallets where appropriate before handing over a device.

5. Parts and device messages

Part options vary by model and quotation. We will not describe an aftermarket component as a genuine Apple component. Some models or software versions may display repair, calibration, battery, display or camera messages following component replacement. Ask what is expected for your exact repair before authorising work.

6. Water resistance

Physical damage or opening a device can affect seals. Unless expressly confirmed in writing for a specific service, we do not represent that the original manufacturer water-resistance rating has been restored, and repaired devices should not be intentionally exposed to water.

7. Additional faults

Devices can have more than one fault, especially after impact, liquid exposure or previous repair. Repairing one diagnosed fault does not make us responsible for unrelated or pre-existing faults.

8. Collection and uncollected devices

We will use reasonable efforts to contact you when work is complete or a decision is needed. Any storage fee, disposal process or treatment of an uncollected device must be fair, proportionate, clearly notified in advance and consistent with applicable law; no automatic transfer of ownership is created merely by delay.

9. Warranty

Any repair warranty is additional to, and does not replace, statutory rights. See our Repair Warranty Policy.

10. Complaints

If something is not right, contact [ifb_complaints_email] with your receipt or job reference and a clear description of the issue. See our Complaints Procedure.
